In the dawn of a new day, all may seem just as before. Consider this, one day, your teenage son or daughter goes off to school. The next, they seem different somehow, as if in a single day they are now young adults beginning to manifest potentials consistent with themselves, yet changing everything.

 

When the settler boy meets young Miss Ellie in town, something seems to change. Ma and Pa look at each other, then look back to their son silently thinking, "When did he mature by five years?"

 

Individuation happens like this: alchemical changes appearing outwardly as mere hints suggesting "Yes, I am my parents, my family, my heritage, i am just myself at this moment and I am the lover, the mother, the father, the doing of deeds that reach to the garden of age and accomplishment. I am the unknown potential and possibility of a million dreams the moment I look into the new dawn of your face."

 

Time stands suspended again, not because the clutch is in, but because the gears are as yet just beginning to engag.
