Imagine a congregation singing the gospel according to Keith Richards. The tenor and key of that choir may not find approval in the overseeing guardian of conventional church standards. But there is room to innovate because there are contingencies… tiny exceptions and factors that can allow a different interpretation of a standard.

 

Plus, the new way of singing church tunes seems to have a swell of popular support.

 

You may find yourself arguing a point, sharpening the point of your position, when faced with authority. The day suggests that there is room for success… not a guarantee of success… but room enough to give it your best and perhaps be handed the church key.
