Going one's own way...
Sometimes you have just had enough. It is time to walk away from the tribe, the club, the party, the group of friends whose ways are all-too-ingrained.
A 'gypsy' is a loaded reference within this symbol, but it does at least refer to a wandering way... one outside the conventional rules of society.
When a gypsy comes out of the woods, he is leaving the wilderness.
When a gypsy is coming out of the woods, he is leaving a place where all trees stand in the same manner.
When a gypsy is coming out of the woods, he is perhaps returning to ordinary society.
The opposing symbol "A sculpture' reinforces the sense of going with or against the grain.
