Secret Santa...
'Santa Claus' is not an universal symbol. It clearly is a direct reference to a tradition from the Western world and, although there are corresponding images-figures in other cultures, one wonders about how this Sabian symbol can be understood and applied universally.
As a symbolic figure for the spirit of giving, Santa Claus may well be a natural expression of generosity.
Another possible theme lies in dressing up to be Santa Claus... the red suit and cap, the white beard and hair. Notice how the 'Santa disguise' fits with the word 'furtively' in the Sabian symbol. Disguise and a particular 'dress' and even wearing a cap for identification is a theme that runs throughout the first set of five symbols Gemini-Sagittarius.
Sagittarius 2 reads "The ocean covered with whitecaps" for example.
Gemini 3 reads "The garden of the Tuileries" which is a reference to 'tiles', 'tiling' and by extension something placed on the head like a cap.
So, Gemini 2 can carry a sense of hiding or secretly going about in acts of giving or in secret planning for the benefit of some, but perhaps not all. This can lead into a theme of 'stealing' since to be furtive is to steal about unseen. Not that personal placements in Gemini 2 indicate that someone is a thief necessarily, but more point to a matter of how giving benefit to some... even those deserving of benefit... always seems to involve taking away from or denying others.
The thread here is that all is not necessarily up-front and 'transparent'... and there you have the shift in awareness from Gemini 1 "A glass bottomed boat in still water" where transparency is the assumption.
