Collective Consciousness

 

The Sun's entry into Pisces is noteworthy because Neptune, the ruler of the sign of Pisces, is transiting in Pisces as well. Only every 160 years (approximately) does Neptune traverse Piscean waters. Monday, February 18:   Sun enters Pisces.  "A public market": imagine a huge wave of collective consciousness, in all its overwhelming and confusing wonder, to be washing over the world.  Maintaining a sense of individuality may be difficult. Emotions can be deep.  Watch for the urge to just go on strike.

 

Tuesday, February 19:  "A squirrel hiding from hunters"  Be quick.  Be a moving target, and make your own target a higher standard for being present authentically.

 

Wednesday, February 20:  "A petrified forest"  Sun conjunct Neptune… inspiration, move me brightly.  Be alert for calming influences regarding emotions and passions.  Free from emotional turmoil and entanglements, one can begin again with confidence fed by what has been learned from experience.

 

Thursday, February 21:  "Heavy traffic on a narrow isthmus"  Inspiration continues to flow.  Watch for those who choose the path less traveled, and those who line up with the crowd.

 

Friday, February 22: "A church bazaar"  Potential developments at the Vatican.  Decisions can be made that determine the way forward for a long time.

 

Saturday, February 23:  "Officers on dress parade"  Mercury retrograde lasts until March 17.  Check your information and messages twice, three times.  Books are not written.  They are re-written, and then re-written again.  Strangely positive day for blending in with convention yet being just as individualistic and eccentric as a chicken in a fox farm.

 

Sunday, February 24:  "A cross lying on the rocks"  The rugged path, unmarked and true to one's character.  Potentially a great day for extraordinary experiences.  Listen for divine messages.  The Moon is near full.  Lush day to follow.

Commerce

 

Commerce of a different kind.

 

What we trade upon, as human beings, if often ever so small. The social pettinesses, commercial wheelings and dealings, not to mention political poop.

 

If you have noticed recently how a cosmic jet stream has been so very near to our world, you may do well to consider the peculiar anomalies in experience to be a doorbell ringing from ambassadors of a far off place.

 

Rich emotions, deep needs may fuel the need to go on strike in some arena of life. 

 

In the public market place, individuality is subsumed by a huge collective wave. 

 

When overwhelmed, ask for help, for help is nearby.

Redemption

 

Picture tending a fire.

 

Head down, gazing at the flames, adding fuel when needed, shifting a log and so on.  While absorbed with the task at hand, an idea, a message, a thought dawns as if out of nowhere.

 

This describes the day, a time when one can be released from concerns and cares that have demanded attention.  The message bearer and the message would tend to come from out of the blue… that is, it is an unexpected message. 

 

Excellent day to take care of matters at hand with attentive patience. It is not important that a multitude of things get done. One per day is enough.  Within that open and receptive caring mind, a message will come.

Starve a fever

 

Fighting a forest fire involves strategic approaches such as creating a firebreak through deliberate lighting of back burns… smaller fires set that burn toward the main fire in order to starve the main fire of fuel, thus contain its range.

 

It is an example of fighting fire with fire… starve the fire of an essential element, fuel or oxygen, to quench its thirst.  An odd mixture of metaphors, yet an effective if paradoxical way to contain a challenging situation.

 

Today, if a challenge arises, consider employing a 'surround and contain' strategy.  

 

One does not rush headlong into the fire, but stands off the perimeter while the fire quenches itself within containment.

Revealing

 

A moment revealing is oft likened unto removing the covering from something long stored away.

 

Imagine the common experience of removing the lid from a container long lost and forgotten at the back of the fridge.  The initial moment of reveal may prove repulsive.

 

Imagine a reflective moment when one turns with an examining eye to see a shadow dynamic behind one's motives.

 

Be alert for a hollow space within, ripe for exploration.  Best not to turn away in repulsion if at first repelled.

 

Others motives may be revealed as well… like unmasking a man.  In contractual matters, consider every deal with caution and care. There may be hidden motives.

Probity

 

Certain standards carry pervasive influence.

 

A watchdog watches over values and valuables, protecting standards, degrees of rectitude and so on.

 

Think of a quality control supervisor.  Today, watch for how the standards of excellent, or lack thereof, manifests in experience.  One may well be gathering others who accord with your sense of quality. 

 

Also, one may feel underwhelmed by the prevailing status quo.

 

The curious thing about the day is that magic can happen, can be directed effectively. Curious because social interactions may distract such that confusion reigns or frustrations dull sensibilities that could otherwise be very creative.

Influence

 

The influence of 'a big-busness man at his desk' is depicted in the impression left by his 'bigness' on his chair and through the decisions made across his desk.

 

The idea is a play on convex and concave symbolism: what one man chooses may appear to be of small effect influencing few; what another chooses may appear to be of enormous effect influencing many.

 

Creative potentials are still at play, having been let loose from recent constraints.  The key is to choose in a way that uplifts the quality and experience for all concerned as opposed to shirking  responsible choice.

Presentation

 

Imagine the moment just as something or someone is making a presentation.  "TA DAH! We now present Ramblin' RickyBob Rodney!", or, "And now for the piece de resistance… Individual size Flumble cakes with coconut frosting and chocolate gnosh!"

 

The day also carries a 'marrying' energy. Creative flow and expressed affections break through invisible barriers. The result: many will feel ease and beauty in experience and perhaps a sense of release.

 

If there have been many unknowns and possible outcomes recently, expect and breakthrough that clears the way ahead for now. The mission is clear. The people to work the mission with and for are known. 

 

It is not the fence blocking the way today, so much as it is the lovebird song that sings beyond a barrier that no longer contains.

Pre-birthing

 

In the time just preceding the birthing experience, one can only rest in wait.  The signs are there.  One can see the light at the end of the tunnel. 

 

A very pregnant moment..

 

The key for today it to let matters unfold as they will.  Too much prodding to make something happen immediately only works against the natural timing of birthing. 

 

 

Picture an expectant mother, full and on the threshold of giving birth. She paces, chews ice chips, needs to lie down, demands to be helped up, refuses the tea asked for just minutes ago… a very anxious time.  The smart husband with gentle amusement comforts and is attentive to every detail, yet knows the child will come when the child will come.

 

Wishing a very a loominous day to a very dear friend.

Forecast

 

Like a barometer, one occasionally has a presentiment of what is coming.  In fact, the barometer is an instrument widely accepted and employed to predict future changes in weather.

 

Today, be alert for indications of a change in your daily weather. It may be a day of widespread, more accurate than usual, prognostication.

 

If you are wrapped up in a tight situation, sudden solutions helping to wiggle free may come along.

 

Changeable weather does not equate changing horses in mid-stream.  When riding a good thing, stick with it.  Success lies in patience and perseverance.
