The child who dresses the part of Captain of the ship that rules the seas is nearer to commanding wind and tide just  for wearing the part than the man who has lived a life sailing.

 

Deep feelings to break from the ties that bind may bring a defiant sense of bravado. Tremendous sense of personal power can have one feel that anything can be taken on and dominated. It is as if the usual rational arguments against and common sense precautions do not matter anymore. 

 

The upside of the day lies in assuming the part. It may be premature in respect of what has been assimilated so far, but it also can be dramatically in tune with what is to come.

Today: Mindfulness practice can be learned and practiced in formal settings, but the not often spoken secret about everyday meditation is that everything, every action, every word every group project within a family, is a meditation of mindfulness.

 

Of course, each member of a family has their irritating traits and mannerisms. But after all, life is short. Can we all just accept and move on together?

 

The oddity of today, and tomorrow, is that two planets are standing still while two others, the most dynamic of change factors collide in firework intensity. Meanwhile, mom is in the kitchen making a savoury dish for a family gathering. 

 

What does this mean?

 

If you are thinking the axis of the world is shifting in ways that affect all of known reality, you are right. Now go wash up, set the table and enjoy mealtime with your family.

Watch for warning signs today. Energies are such that one might think there is time to beat the train to the crossing. Better to weigh the matter in light of what counts… family, loved ones, the simple fabric of life rather than the grand victory.

 

Understand that such impulses to defy and challenge the iron horse are fuelled by far greater energies than usual, and therefore stepping on the gas to accelerate your path may not be the wisest choice. 

 

The key to this time lies in your family… their care, safety and well-being. It may seem like backing down but really, there will be far better times to defy gravity soon. If there is a slow train, or a train that has stalled on the crossing… that is another matter. Innovate a plan and make your way across.

Think of an argument. One continues to rub the main thrust of one's position and objective in order to gain the desired affects. Strangely, this is just like rationalization and self-justification. 

 

Be aware that less than noble principles can be toppled in debate today. Something can change… a total reversal of surprising proportions… therefore choose to follow the high road. Petty victories on ego-centric matters are not worth the effort.

 

The high road of justification is likened unto polishing a fine focus one what counts regardless of whether anyone else gets on board or not. Intimate discussion with another, free from self-justifying aggrandizement, can get to the point supremely. 

 

May all have someone with whom they can reach that peak.
