"A daughter of the American Revolution" 30 Cancer
This symbol is illuminated 11:03 PM EDT July 21 (3:03 AM GMT, July 21)
Theme: Inheritance.
Inspiration: Allegiance to past traditions and a sense of deserved ownership tends to forget the revolutionary spirit from which it was born.
Today: Conservatism might be understood as an attitude that seeks to hold onto all gains and possessions under assumption of entitlement and inheritance. The aim is to maintain and further increase the goals determined by tradition of inherited right.
There is a danger in becoming overly rigid about one's views and possessions. For example, you may hear someone today say, "This is the traditional and right way to do such and such." And whenever these kind of words are spoken, the majority the audience immediately begins thinking revolutionary thoughts.
Suggested creative approach: take in traditional instruction/ways/rules in order to learn what you can from them; keep an open mind to possible innovations that may serve you later on… but do so quietly; politely dismiss any attempt to paint another person/position as wrong, whether by inherited opinion or established authority.
The spiritual corollary of this may be: Yes, we stand in a long line of inherited past… long live the open field called now.
