Inspiration: In these times, is it not more rebellious to take a train?
Today: Most flashes of independent defiance against mass conformity are regarded as rebellious, shocking, even outlandish. The rail crossing where independence and collective movements collide usually comes with bells and red flags.
Today is different.
If convention and mass consciousness, or the lack thereof, are wearing heavily somehow today, it is a great time to flow in accordance with your own self. 'Go your own way' independence does not have to rail against the machine, nor shock and dare the dominantly dull.
Although the 'auto' is pitted against the mass transport of the 'train', consider the automobile to be, in a strange counter-intuitive way, a tyrannical manifestation of conformity. To be 'self-driven' may mean something far more than possessing a car to drive miles in order to get a favourite loaf of bread. What it means to be 'self-driven', independent… manifesting genuine self liberation… reaches far beyond the cattle-car mentality and sense of entitlement regarding the culture of self-owned automobile.
Going with the social flow, or going against it is not the point. Feeling good calls the direction.
