The last leg of the Virgoan journey...
Virgo 26 "A boy with a censer" suggests a youth who is entrusted with clearing the air, setting the tone, for the new path of individual character refinement and social mores. Incense burning is an archaic ritual ceremony that plays upon smell, memory and motivation. Think of a bad smell... motivation to move away. A good smell... motivation to draw near. If the intention to clear the air, purify and wash free of stain, then a good new start is possible.
Individuals with Virgo 26 placements may have smell sensitivities, or, they may have a good nose for detecting when something is not quite right.
"Grande Dames at tea", Virgo 27, issues in a theme of social rank somehow linked through the most organic of civilized activity: the harvest. Very often, issues of 'fair share' of the harvest emerge somehow.
Virgo 28 "A bald-headed man" continues the harvest theme. Think of mowing and aftermath of the harvest. What comes next after harvest is the reality of fields cut down, barren stubby remains as the 'garden' heads to the winter season of death, dark and decay. The central theme is the promise of return.... a fertile garden (Pisces 28) will grow again when Spring returns. Call this the 'come-back' degree, or think of the Virgo 28 individual as someone whose strength of body, of character, lies in an organic cycle of seasons.
Virgo 29 "A man gaining secret knowledge from a paper he is reading", suggests that a challenge may be solved by careful analysis, or natural alertness for the missing piece of information.
Imagine finding an old document that clearly contains information that settle an old and long standing dispute over... anything: property, possession, esoteric knowledge and so on.
Virgo 30 "A false call unheard in attention to immediate service" is a long winded way to say "A good sense of priorities".
Here in Virgo 30, we find the culmination of individual character refinement in harmony with collective dynamics. Imagine an old woman who pays not the slightest heed to the day to day complaints and stories of dozens of children, grand children , friends, neighbours and so on, only to be the one who is truly present when the chips are down. If the house is on fire, you would tend to not keep watching that mind numbing reality show on television... wouldn't you??
If not, you may have a bit of Virgo 30 in you.
